Safe Sanctuary Policies
At Faith United Methodist Church, we take the safety and well-being of our congregation, staff, and visitors very seriously. That's why we have implemented the United Methodist Church Safe Sanctuary policy, which is designed to create a safe and nurturing environment for everyone who enters our doors.
Our Safe Sanctuary policy outlines guidelines and procedures for preventing abuse and neglect of children, youth, and vulnerable adults, and provides a framework for responding to any incidents that may occur. We have also implemented screening procedures for all staff and volunteers who work with children and vulnerable adults, as well as training programs to ensure that everyone is equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide a safe and secure environment. We do this through MinistrySafe which provides a database for background checks, trainings, and reminders to continue training.
At Faith United Methodist Church, we believe that everyone has the right to worship and participate in church activities without fear of harm or abuse. We are committed to upholding the Safe Sanctuary policy, and to doing everything we can to ensure that our church remains a safe and welcoming place for all.
